Onward Search Education is seeking a compassionate and skilled ASL-Signing Paraeducator to provide 1:1 support for a student in a secondary school setting in Silverdale, Washington. This is a full-time, on-site, contract opportunity for the 2025–26 school year.

Position Details:

Start Date: September 3, 2025
Location: Silverdale, WA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Assignment Type: Payrolled contract
Setting: Secondary school (middle or high school level)
Role: 1:1 student support using American Sign Language (ASL)

Responsibilities:

Provide daily 1:1 support for a student who uses ASL for communication
Assist in both academic and classroom-related activities
Support the student’s social and behavioral goals as needed
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent educational access
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies

Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
Experience working with students, preferably in a school or special education setting
Ability to work effectively with a team and follow educational plans
High school diploma or equivalent required; paraeducator certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
Background clearance required
