Location: Remote (Western Territory)

Reports to: President, Americas

The Position

This role is critical for our client’s continued success as it will support two other Regional leaders in covering all Western and select Midwest states, with a minimum of 50% travel. Responsibilities include business development, leveraging strategic thinking to identify opportunities, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships. Success in this role requires strong negotiation and sales skills to drive revenue, along with technical acumen to effectively communicate product capabilities and value to clients in the medical packaging industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales pipeline, track progress, and report performance metrics to leadership
  • Support customer training, troubleshooting, and post-sales support in collaboration with engineering and service teams
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to drive strategic decision-making
  • Provide product and technical guidance to customers, effectively communicating features, capabilities, and benefits
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure customer needs are met with the right product solutions
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions to maximize value for both the company and its clients
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering long-term partnerships with key accounts
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Extensive travel required, minimum of 50%
  • Drive growth in the Medical, Packing and Closures space

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in injection molding, packaging, or medical manufacturing industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of new business development and account management, with the ability to identify, acquire, and retain customers
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills, with experience managing complex sales cycles and closing high-value deals
  • Technical acumen to understand and communicate the value of injection molding solutions in the medical sector
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to visit clients, attend industry events, and drive regional growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting for tracking opportunities and pipeline management
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Medical Sales Certification (MSC), Six Sigma, or industry-specific credentials are a plus but not required
