Work closely with the PI to maintain laboratory regulatory compliance and ensure lab safety. Individual will assist in ordering laboratory supplies and maintaining laboratory logs.
Conduct laboratory procedures using animal models of pancreatic cancer to support a fast-paced laboratory. Individual will be provided with written protocols and receive guidance from the PI and other senior researchers in the lab.
Employ various experimental techniques including DNA extraction, PCR, cloning, maintenance of primary cancer cell lines, and various animal handling techniques. Individual will be taught data analysis techniques using various software.
Responsible for the maintenance of lab strain archives and equipment, data management and analysis, and assisting in the preparation of data for meetings, manuscripts, and grants.
