Job Description

The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of uncrewed systems and robotics, represents corporations and professionals from more than 60 countries involved in industry, government, and academia. AUVSI members work in the defense, civil and commercial markets. We pride ourselves on being the leading trade association serving a growing autonomous vehicle industry sector including drones, automated and remotely operated ground and maritime vehicles, and their related components and systems. 

 

The Opportunity  

The Association is seeking a proactive and highly organized individual to join our team as a Sales Development Representative. In this role, you will help drive our growth by identifying, researching, and qualifying prospects, supporting outbound marketing initiatives, and maintaining accurate sales engagement data in Salesforce. You will also contribute to audience development efforts by helping expand and refine our outreach lists, segmenting key markets, and identifying new channels to grow engagement. This position plays a critical role in generating new opportunities, tracking deliverables, and ensuring a seamless experience for both internal teams and external partners.

 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Strong communication skills, technical proficiency with marketing automation tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal sales, marketing, and operations teams are essential. 

You will be responsible for…  

  • Identify, research, and qualify prospects for all Association products and services through outbound calls, digital research, and marketing campaigns.  
  • Support lead generation efforts by building and launching email nurture campaigns, landing pages, lead scoring rules, and outbound marketing initiatives across email, social media, and paid media channels.  
  • Maintain and optimize CRM and marketing platform integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Hootsuite, Net Forum), ensuring clean, accurate data and consistent tracking of lead engagement.  
  • Collaborate with content and design teams to develop lead generation assets and campaign materials.  
  • Work with the Marketing team to analyze campaign performance and recommend strategies to increase engagement, lead quality, and conversion rates.  
  • Proactively engage leads generated from various channels, schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives and Committee Leads, and ensure a smooth lead hand-off process.  
  • Provide regular feedback to marketing and sales teams on lead quality, outreach effectiveness, and market insights.  

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.  
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in lead generation, marketing operations, or sales support; prior experience within an association or membership-based organization is a plus.  
  • Strong ability to identify, research, and qualify prospects through outbound calls, digital research, and marketing campaigns.  
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing email nurture campaigns, landing pages, lead scoring models, and outbound initiatives across multiple channels including email, social media, and paid media.  
  • Proficiency with CRM and marketing platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo or similar), including maintaining data integrity and optimizing lead tracking processes.  
  • Analytical skills to assess campaign performance, interpret data, and recommend actionable strategies to improve lead engagement and conversion rates.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and qualify prospects.  
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.  
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to continuous improvement and sharing market insights across teams.  
  • Basic working knowledge of HTML/CSS.  
  • Proven experience thriving in B2B tech, SaaS, or rapidly scaling environments.

Job Details  

  • Full-time position  
  • Location: Hybrid role. DMV candidates preferred. 
  • Annual base salary : $60K 
  • Annual commission potential : averages around $10K - $15K but could vary depending on your passion to succeed. 
  • Travel up to 20% of the time. 
  • Physical Requirements: be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
