Field Interviewer – Part-Time, Temporary


Are you looking for a meaningful opportunity to make an impact? Noor Staffing Group is hiring Field Interviewers on behalf of our client to conduct face-to-face interviews with residents in assisted living facilities across Minnesota.

As a Field Interviewer, you will use a tablet device to conduct 15–20-minute structured interviews with residents who have varying health conditions and cognitive abilities. Your work will help evaluate quality of life for people with disabilities who receive state services. To learn more about this important project, visit the Assisted Living Report Card:

Key Details

  • Project Duration: July – September 2025 (Some may finish earlier based on location and availability)

  • Paid Training: In-person classroom and field training, tentatively held July 7 – 11.

  • Post-Training Schedule: Work at facilities Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (varies based on location and facility needs). Hours include time at facilities, paid breaks every 4 hours, and a 30-minute paid lunch for team check-ins and planning. You will also be reimbursed for mileage and drive time. On some days, the total hours worked may exceed 8 hours, when combining drive time and time worked at the facility. Number of days scheduled per week may vary.

  • Travel: Up to 75 miles one-way daily, with potential for longer distances if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured interviews with facility residents using a tablet.

  • Be punctual, travel to assigned facilities, and work independently while maintaining a professional, neutral approach.

  • Keep organized records of completed interviews and resident participation (e.g., completed interviews, refusals, etc.).

  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate skillfully, frequently, and in a timely manner via email, phone, and in-person.

  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Participate in regular quality assurance observations and pass observation interviews, as evaluated by Quality Assurance Mentors.

Requirements

  • Comfortable interacting with older adults and individuals with disabilities.

  • Demonstrate concern and sensitivity to issues of disability, illness, and communication challenges.

  • Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and follow structured interview protocols.

  • Tech-savvy – comfortable with email, file uploads, and using a tablet.

  • A private desktop or laptop computer, and printer to be able to print from home.

  • Reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license and insurance.

  • Adhere to a business casual dress code.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in research, interviewing, or fieldwork is a plus.

  • Familiarity with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult care settings is preferred.

Perks & Compensation

  • Hourly Pay: $23.50 per hour for work time (e.g., conducting interviews, etc.)

  • Mileage Reimbursement: $0.45 per mile

  • Drive Time Pay: $15.97 per hour

  • Print Stipend: $3 per week

  • Other reimbursements may apply

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • This role is primarily on-site at assisted living facilities.

  • Requires routine usage of standard office equipment such as a computer, tablet, phone, and home printer.

  • May involve standing, sitting, walking, and carrying materials for extended periods.

  • Use repetitive hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms for up to eight hours each day.

  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 10 pounds. Interviewers must always carry all materials on their person.

  • Individuals are regularly required to talk and hear to conduct face-to-face interviews with residents.
