Heres what youd do:

The Irrigation Manager (IM) schedules and directs personnel and resources to provide quality, cost-effective irrigation services to clients. IMs also support the Account Manager(s) in estimating, design, and client meetings as needed. They will also sell irrigation services to clients, with or without base maintenance contracts. The IM oversees a commercial landscape portfolio and multiple service teams, responsible for training and developing these individuals and providing daily operational scheduling and guidance.

Youd be responsible for:

• Understanding client needs via regular communication with the Account Manager(s)
• Managing all irrigation services, including coordinating materials, personnel, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure quality work
• Inspecting properties prior to scheduled service to prepare specific action plans
• Monitoring all aspects of the irrigation system post-installation and service, identifying any problems
• Performing hands-on work with crews as needed to meet work and scheduling demands
• Working with the Branch Manager to identify staffing needs, hire new crew members, and prepare daily schedules
• Ensuring all employee changes and new hires are properly documented
• Communicating with, coaching, training, disciplining, reviewing, and developing growth plans for employees
• Providing hands-on training on equipment operation, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards
• Focusing on safety and monitoring safety records
• Maintaining and managing administrative systems like time sheets, job databases, and service schedules
• Ordering materials as needed, monitoring costs and deliveries
• Requesting purchase orders and using them according to company guidelines
• Assisting the Branch Manager with irrigation sales tasks as required

You might be a good fit if you have:

• A minimum of a 2-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of customer service, management, and leadership experience within the landscaping industry or local marketplace, including supervisory experience
• Necessary certifications and licenses to perform work in the local market
