Job Summary:

The Compliance Administrator ensures construction projects adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and standards. This role involves monitoring compliance, managing documentation, and liaising with stakeholders to maintain regulatory adherence.

This high-profile position will be working with business leaders from many functions with the mission to build superior affordable properties to revitalize and strengthen communities.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Section 3/Local Hiring monitoring and compliance reporting to agencies.
  • Prevailing Wage (Davis Bacon) monitoring, tracking and compliance reporting to agencies.
  • Assist in the seamless setup and integration of new employees into the system.
  • M/WBE monitoring, tracking and compliance reporting to agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with NYC, NYS, FDNY, and federal construction codes, local laws, labor laws, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols, fire codes, pollution prevention measures, prevailing wage policies, and construction regulations. Address violations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance practices, certified payrolls, subcontractor forms, audits, permits, and project close-out documentation.
  • Liaise with contractors, legal teams, and regulatory bodies; address compliance-related issues effectively.
  • Perform regular audits to monitor compliance status across projects and identify areas for improvements.
  • Develop training materials on compliance standards, prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop educational outreach programs on code awareness.
  • Facilitate the completion of legal compliance checks and ensure all project requirements are satisfied.
  • Collaborate with Apex Safety Manager to resolve safety compliance issues and resolve/correct violations from NYC DOB or any other city agency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance or construction administration.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and design drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/SST, NYC/NYS building codes and FDNY regulations preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to assess risks, interpret complex regulations, and identify compliance gaps.
  • Intermediate level proficiency Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, QuickBase, and compliance software (e.g., Procore, Premier).
  • Capability to resolve compliance challenges innovatively and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with LCP Tracker, a plus.

Working Conditions:

You will be based in the corporate headquarters in Yonkers, New York with some travel to construction locations around the New York City area.
