Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Alcoholic Beverages Scientist to join our beverages team. This is an entry-level position ideal for a recent graduate or someone early in their career. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing and optimizing beverage formulations, conducting sensory evaluations, and ensuring product quality from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and optimize beverage formulations, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, juices, energy drinks, teas, and flavored waters.
  • Conduct experiments and trials to evaluate ingredient interactions and product stability.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to refine and improve product formulations.
  • Implement and maintain quality standards, ensuring product consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of formulations, experimental data, and project progress.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, product stability, and sensory evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and maintain the highest standards of product excellence. The main function of this role will be to help create and develop flavors, ingredients, and finished beverages for the alcoholic beverage end-use market. Projects will include new product development, matching, shelf life, ideation/brainstorming, and formula optimization. This person will be counted on to maintain lab inventory and cleanliness of work areas. This role will be largely laboratory-based, with the potential to eventually grow into being more customer-facing.

The typical hiring range for this role is $42,000 to $67,000 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements
