Job Description
Job Summary/Overview This role will act as a lead in the Stands department to improve accuracy, quality, prioritization of work, and 5S standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Work alongside teammates to perform Conveyor assemblies in a product line.
- Maintain rotation of tasks within the department and participate in daily Gemba board discussions.
- Partner with the Supervisor and Production Manager and individual cells to meet on time delivery goals.
- Act as primary trainer for new employees within the department.
- Identify areas for improvement and training needed for individuals within the department.
- Work closely with engineering.
- Establish daily and weekly 5S schedule for all team members to participate in.
- Work in a safe manner to keep you and your team incident free.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities - Ability to read blueprints.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to think abstractly to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems.
- Ability to be flexible and adjust priories to reflect changing needs or job demands.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications - Lead and/or supervisorial experience or the willingness to obtain via training or coursework.
- Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs. safely.
